500,000 m3 OSP production line

Kronospan management intends to invest money into 500,000 m³ OSP production line to be constructed in Riga. The news came from Kronospan Russia press-service. Panels will be manufactured at Bolderaya Plant, Riga, bought by Kronospan Holdings Limited in summer 2005. The amount of investment is not disclosed. The project is to be completed in summer 2007. Continuous press, 53 m long and 2.5 m wide, will de delivered by German company Dieffenbacher GmbH + Co. KG, specializing in press equipment. 80% of the plant’s output will be exported; Russian Federation is regarded as the target market. Bolderaya is planned to become one of the biggest Kronospan facilities processing more than 1.2mln m³ of timber a year.
