Siempelkamp Academy established
Siempelkamp, the world market leader for continuous presses for the wood-based products industry, has decided to pass on its outstanding expertise and thus, live up to its leadership role in the area of knowledge transfer.
For that purpose, the Siempelkamp Academy was established. Its mission is to collect knowledge, process it, and pass it on. Well-elaborated workshops are offered with the goal of transferring knowledge. The target group for these workshops are customers of the Machinery and Plants Business Unit. However, the training of our own staff will also be the responsibility of the Siempelkamp Academy.
Next to a knowledge transfer, this institution shall become a forum for the exchange of experiences and in this way initiate discussions about different approaches to a solution for integrated problems.
We are also planning events with associations and suppliers which can shed light on the connection between plant engineering and plant operation. For this reason, the Siempelkamp Academy will move into new accommodations which will have access to the latest presentation tools.
Even a real-life control room of a plant will be set up at the academy. Intensive training courses can be carried out here with the technical operating personnel, including the simulation of emergency situations at the plant.
In close connection to this, a teleservice will also move into this location. By this means, it is possible to demonstrate the advantages of the service to the customers.
A schedule of training courses for the next two years has already been adopted and will be sent to selective customers shortly.
